Something Vintage. Lyons Historical Town Hall, our long-standing establishment dates back to 1877. This building was built so the small town of Lyons would have a community gathering place. It has hosted extravagant Galas and political gatherings with notable individuals. Square dancing, weddings, polka, boy scout meetings all were hosted in times past at this very vintage building.

    Wearing a new item on your wedding day conveys the message that you and your spouse are creating a new adventure and union that will endure. Previously owned by the Historical Society, Spirit of Truth Church after 1 year of ownership is interested in restoring the celebrations by hosting one affair at a time. Our church and Town Hall are yours to provide a perfect and intimate setting for your new beginnings.

    "Borrowing” is especially important, since it comes from all that good advice you get from all those seasoned happily married couples. All you need to do is lend an ear. We will graciously allow you to "borrow" our venue for your memorable nuptials, and don't worry we can advise you on how to make this day perfect.
  • SOMETHING BLUE

    In ancient times blue is the symbol of faithfulness, purity and loyalty. Often a blue item is the garter and in olden times the couple wore blue bands on the border of their wedding attire to denote, love, modesty and fidelity. The historical color blue in the Town Hall was painted on the wainscoting as the original color. We will give a blue ribbon service commitment to represent this tradition by providing you with our trusted vendors that we feel are so very talented and have proven by continued success to provide outstanding service.
